Afghanistan: More than 11 Thousands Displaced Families Received Assistance

For 11 thousand and 371 displaced families in Khost province, through DoRR of the province, over the last week received assistance.

According to Mohammad Hasham Halim, head of immigration affairs of Khost province, including the mentioned displaced families for 336 northern Waziristan families in the districts of, Shamal, Matoon, Saperi, Tanai, Mandozi and Nader shah Kot were displaced, the assistance by UNHCR including non-food packages, and for other 213 families tents, for 6789 families food and for 3706 fuel wood, were assisted.

In addition, he added that 150 Afghan immigrant family that displaced on effect of operation of the force of Pakistani have returned to Khost Province from Waziristan, the kitchen appliances and 30 other families of tents, were distributed by the IOM institutions.

The source added that during the mention period, 147 families were displaced from the impact of a rocket fired by Pakistani troops from Tani district to the province, in order to receive assistance by a joint team of the Directorate, UNHCR, and RED Cross Khost province were surveyed.

Halim added that during the last week, the Dakar Institute 598 of toilets for displaced families of northern Waziristan made and15 wells were drilled.

Also 186 male and female returnees have been introduced in order to receive Education.
