Kabul- In order to compile and coordinate a single document regarding the issues relevant to Afghan refugees in Iran and Pakistan, as well as to discuss problems of Afghan asylum seekers in European Countries, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan arranged a meeting attended by representatives of the ministries of Refugees and Repatriations and Finance, UNAMA, UNHCR and IOM. This meeting was presided by the Deputy Foreign Minister Dr. Nasir Ahmad Andisha.
At the outset, Dr. Nasir Ahmad Andisha presented information regarding practical measure taken by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on finding solutions for the challenges existed against Afghan refugees in Iran and Pakistan as well as Afghan asylum seekers in European Countries.
During the meeting, the attendees discussed and exchanged views about the situation of Afghan refugees and asylum seekers in various countries especially Pakistan and Iran.
At the end of the meeting, by getting conclusion from the comprehensive discussion of the representatives of various national and international entities, the Deputy Foreign Minister called the cooperation, consultation and coordination of the international organizations with Afghan government in developing short-term and long-term programs for the solution of issues of the refugees in regional countries and Afghan asylum seekers in European Countries as important and insisted on arranging such meetings.
